The brand name was developed in a multi-stage process with a brand team and the MOCOM management team. “MOCOM stands for ‘Modern Compounding.’ We chose this name because it shows we are a company focused on what processors need today.” Ian Mills (CEO, MOCOM).
MOCOM’s expertise is in every single polymer granule. That’s why we made product the main protagonist in the design. Starting with the wordmark, the granules play a leading role. In addition, its outer shape serves as an organizing principle in layouts, while the specially developed 3D brand visuals illustrate the material characteristics.
MOCOM’s brand typeface ‘Granula’ was tailored to the needs of the brand identity. The details of its characters also cite the shape of the granules. The tailor-made style of illustrations and pictograms helps to link the explanations, illustration and diagrams to the brand.
