Tailored pictograms for the airline’s market presence
Air Berlin, Pictogram series. To avoid rank growth, Air Berlin wanted a consistent visual language for the creation of pictograms. The symbols are used in management systems, digital user interfaces as well as for classic communication, and they are cross-culturally understandable.
- Design guideline
Brand recognition, without words. In order to anchor the symbols in the brand image, the pictograms are based on a few, fundamental design features that are derived from the corporate design. Existing symbols are adapted to new guidelines and the required symbols are added to the series. The pictograms talk the talk of the Air Berlin brand. A compact guideline allows brand managers and agencies to expand the series to other topics, if necessary. It provides concrete standards for the creation of pictograms in corporate design.
