Design in Hamburg

(11.11.11) Design author Petra Schwab is contributing a chapter of her lately released book ”Design in Hamburg” to EIGA. This publications target group is unlike other design book the public, not marketeers or the design branch itself. Petra Schwab is putting a special focus on the significance of design as an economic factor using the success stories of local designer, studios and their work. We feel very comfortable aside of well known design colleagues such as Peter Schmidt, Hadi Teherani and Tobias Grau and would like to thank Petra Schwab, Junius Publishing House and Hamburger Kreativgesellschaft for their dedication.

Xmas Silkscreen Workshop

(03.01.11) Christmastime, workshop time. We used our Christmas celebrations as an opportunity to enjoy ourselves in the silkscreen workshop – lighting, squeegeeing, drying, sticking and flooding. Under expert guidance we did just what we felt like with our motifs. With fresh digital (intellectual) property being turned into analogue masterpieces in the very smallest editions by means of honest craftsmanship – this was sustainably impressive print workmanship for a special occasion. Cheers! In the process many of us were astonished at just how many print colour applications they were able to carry out on the printing substrate in such a short time, in spite of all the cheerful celebrations.
